On December 8, 2020, Pope Francis published an apostolic letter, Patris Corde (With a Father’s Heart) to mark 150 years since Pope Pius IX declared St. Joseph Patron of the Universal Church. Pope Francis declared December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021 as the “Year of St. Joseph.
ABOUT US
The Catholic Takasaki Church was originally built in Iwan town by a Franciscan missionary who came to Japan from the United States in 1953. After that, It was moved to Takamatsu Town and celebrated the 50th anniversary of its dedication in 2002.
Although it is still a young church, we have also joined the international family from preschool to school year.
The basilica is dedicated to the Angel's former (our Lady Queen of Angels) and is a symbol of the monument.
